Historic Herefordshire Stone Roof
We have just completed a roofing project at Kentchurch Court in Hereford
We removed the original leaking Herefordshire stone roof , and replaced it using the same salvaged materials.
The house itself is a wonderful example of English architecture, with a history dating back to the 14th century. It has undergone many changes over the centuries, with additions and alterations made by different generations of the Scudamore family. However, the core structure of the house remains largely unchanged, and many original features can still be seen today.
In addition to its architectural and natural beauty, Kentchurch Court is also steeped in history. The Scudamore family have played an important role in the local area for centuries, and the house has been the setting for many significant events over the years. For example, during the English Civil War in the 17th century, the house was used as a Royalist stronghold, and it was also visited by Queen Elizabeth I during her reign.
