Locl Historic Rectory

The Old Rectory stands as an enchanting testament to the architectural heritage of the region. Believed to have been constructed in the early 18th century, this historic building served as the residence for the local clergy for over two centuries. Its elegant Georgian design, adorned with intricate stone detailing make it a notable landmark within the community.

As custodians of historic preservation, Heritage Roofing Contractors Ltd. undertook the careful task of repairing the roofing system at the Old Rectory . When our team initially assessed the building, it was evident that the ravages of time, combined with the wear and tear inflicted by harsh weather conditions, had taken a toll on the roof's integrity.
The main challenge we encountered was the decay of the original Lead flashings some of which dated back more than a century. The prolonged exposure to moisture had caused the lead to crack and become dislodged, leading to leaks and compromising the structure's overall stability. It was imperative to restore the roof's functionality while preserving its unique aesthetics, which are deeply intertwined with the building's historical significance.
Throughout the repairs, our expert roofers paid close attention to maintaining the historical character of the Old Rectory. Additionally, we strengthened the underlying structure, reinforcing the timber framework and ensuring its longevity for years to come.
The completion of roofing repairs at the Old Rectory marks another successful project for Heritage Roofing Contractors Ltd. We take immense pride in safeguarding the architectural heritage of Herefordshire and surrounding areas. With our commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, we are honoured to contribute to the restoration of this magnificent building, preserving it as a cherished monument of the past for current and future generations to admire.
